Mr. Mordechai Stauber has been appointed the new Director General at Bikur Cholim Hospital, Jerusalem. Mr. Stauber has a rich past and vast experience in managing hospitals and medical centers in Israel.

The administration of the Board of Bikur Cholim Hospital decided to appoint a professional manager to the hospital. The Committee of the Board, headed by the Chairman, R’ David Zilbershlag together with the members, R’ Eliezer Simchayoff and R’ Papenheim established a “Search” Committee who decided to appoint Mr. Stauber as the Director General of the hospital.

Mr. Stauber served as the Director of Laniado Hospital for 10 years and afterwards Director and Deputy Director of Soroka Medical Center in Beer Sheva for 3 years and Deputy of Logistics and Infrastructure of the Klalit Health Fund for 6 years. For the past 5 years he has served as the Director of International Relations in Laniado Hospital, Netanya.

The head of the hospital administration, R’ Zilbershlag blessed this step and said that Mr. Stauber is the right man at the right time to lead the hospital into a wave of development and renewal in the coming years.

Mr. Stauber said that he realizes the enormity of the responsibility upon him and intends to use his many years of experience and all his energy towards upholding the oldest medical institution in the country. His concerns are for the hundreds of the hospital's employees who are carrying the burden to this day and for the residents of Jerusalem who will benefit very soon from the upgraded and advanced medical services.
